The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care will host the 11th Annual Walter “Chuck” Foster Sporting Clay Shoot on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports.

Held in partnership with Jeff and Tera Lageman, the event honors the legacy of Walter “Chuck” Foster, a devoted family man, loyal friend and passionate supporter of children in our community. Jeff Lageman, a former Jacksonville Jaguar and longtime Jaguars radio and television analyst, and his wife, Tera, have been instrumental in growing the Sporting Clay Shoot into a signature community event.

Known for his generosity, quick wit and competitive spirit, Foster helped shape the shoot from its inaugural year, leading the first winning team and vowing to win every year after.

The event brings together community members, businesses and outdoor enthusiasts for a morning of friendly competition and fundraising in support of Community PēdsCare, a specialized pediatric hospice and palliative care program serving children with life-altering and medically complex illnesses.

The event will be held at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, 12125 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. Registration and breakfast: 8 a.m. Shotgun start: 9 a.m. Lunch and awards: Noon

Teams of four will compete on one of two 15-station sporting clays courses. Participants must provide their own firearms. On-site firearm rental is available with a reservation through Jacksonville Clay Target Sports. Registration includes breakfast and lunch, 12- or 20-gauge ammunition and golf carts.

Sponsorships and team registrations are available. Proceeds support Community PēdsCare, helping provide compassionate care and comfort for children and families across North Florida. To learn more or register, go to thefoundationcares.org.
