This critical endeavor will continue our commitment to providing compassionate care to the patients and families we serve. Our Purpose
Children are our future. For most of us the idea that a child’s life will be limited by serious illnesses or injuries is unthinkable. Here in North Florida, parents and families are receiving this painful news every single day. In these difficult situations, Community PēdsCare is there to help. Our unique program provides care and support to the entire family, with a specialized pediatrician-trained care team. Its approach wraps the family in support for physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs, and helps coordinate the often-complex care provided to critically ill children from multiple physicians, clinics, and organizations.
The Community PēdsCare team focuses on helping children and their families live better with advanced illness or serious injury through their hospice and palliative care services. Community PēdsCare is the only program that works in all settings of care and bridges the gaps between hospital care, physicians offices, clinics, and community, to assure that our youngest patients and their families have what is needed to live the best life possible, regardless of the length of their life.

How can you make a difference for Community pēdscare patients and families?
All Community PēdsCare Services are provided regardless of insurance coverage – which is made possible through generous community supporters, efforts of The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, and Medicaid.
Charitable gifts to The Foundation provide vital funding. Generous community support makes it possible for Community PēdsCare to provide seamless care for the outpatient to inpatient setting, whenever and wherever families need it most.
Your gift to the Build, Create, Comfort Campaign will help Community PēdsCare expand and enhance the programs and services we provide – services that help children and parents during challenges that can seem overwhelming and insurmountable. The Dorion Center will help Community PēdsCare, the only program of its kind in North Florida, continue our life-changing work and support the emotional, physical and psychological needs of children and their families living with the impact of life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.
There are many avenues to make a meaningful gift to the Build, Create, Comfort Campaign. Pledges are commitments made in good faith and are not legally binding. Our campaign allows supporters to fulfill pledges over five-years. Donors can maximize their support by making monthly, quarterly, or annual payments.
Checks for the Build, Create, Comfort Campaign should be mailed to The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care. Checks should be made payable to “The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care” and include “Build, Create, Comfort, Campaign” in the memo section. Payments are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
