A New Sort of Gala
The Foundation of Community Hospice and Palliative Care set the night aglow for the approximately 300 families in its PedsCare Program at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for Roars and More: A Gala of a Different Sort.
Hosted by The PLAYERS Championship, this was a new take on the beloved Halloween Doors and More fundraising event, set against the backdrop of the zoo’s Colors of the Wild. Roughly 1,400 guests delighted at the zoo’s displays of vibrant, Asian lanterns throughout the venue while children could partake in activities and enjoy special performances and live music.
As the evening wound down, guests could visit the “Candyland Corner,” a crowd favorite brought over from the original Doors and More event.
Proceeds from the evening support the Community PedsCare program.
