If you are considering a bequest and would like for it to be used for a specific purpose, please let us know. We are available to discuss with you and your attorney to identify giving options that align with your charitable objectives.
To make a restricted bequest, we recommend that your attorney include the following provision to provide The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care with flexibility in the event that it is no longer possible to use your gift as originally intended:
“If, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, it shall become impossible for The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care to use this bequest to accomplish the specific purposes of this bequest, The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care may use the income and principal of this gift for such purpose or purposes as the Board determines is most closely related to the restricted purpose of my bequest.”
Engaging legal and financial professionals who have experience in estate planning is the best way to understand which option is best for you.
